THE ARMENIAN COMMUNITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST IN CURRENT POLITICAL SITUATION

On December 8, 2011 a round table on “The Armenian Communities in the Middle East in Current Political Situation” was held at “Noravank” Foundation. The event featured representatives from Diaspora Vardan Tashchian and Hamo Moskofian (from Lebanon), Hakob Cholakian (from Syria) and Mihran Dabagh (from Germany), as well as experts from Armenia. They discussed the influence of the current domestic political collisions in Arab countries, continuing instability and possible regional developments on the Armenian communities. Various viewpoints were sounded and discussed.
