AZERBAIJANI ANTI-ARMENIAN PROPAGANDA AND WAYS OF OPPOSITION

On April 21st “Noravank” Foundation and “Armat” club held a conference on “Azerbaijani Anti-Armenian Propaganda and Ways of Opposition”. In his opening address the executive director of “Noravank” Foundation Gagik Harutyunyan mentioned that any conference or discussion on the Armenian-Azerbaijani confrontation is topical, as the Armenian side always faces anti-Armenian propaganda on behalf of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

The event featured the counsellor of “Noravank” Foundation Eduard Danielyan, political scientists Aleksandr Manasyan, Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan, psychologists Albert Nalchajyan, David Zamalyan, the head of “Armat” club Vahram Mirakyan, the Head of the YSU Scientific Management Department Alik Gharibyan, scientific associate of the YSU Institute for Armenological Researches Alvina Aghababyan, experts of the Center of Informational Studies at “Noravank” Foundation Samvel Martirosyan and Varujean Geghamyan, Candidate of Political Studies Narek Galstyan.

The presentations covered a wide scope of issues. Prehistory of anti-Armenian propaganda implemented by Azerbaijan, current situation, eager activity carried out in the social networks, psychological aspects of anti-Armenian propaganda and other issues were presented

All the participants took an active part in the discussion during which possible mechanisms of opposing to the anti-Armenian propaganda were offered. The importance of a single conceptual approach to these issues as well as the usage of the available resources was mentioned.
