ETHNO CULTURAL SITUATION AND TRENDS IN SOUTH CAUCASUS

On June 17, 2010 the workshop on “Ethno Cultural situation and trends in South Caucasus” was held at “Noravank” Foundation.

The workshop featured sociologist, expert Samvel Martirosyan. He presented the comparative analysis of the result of public opinion poll carried out in 2007 in the countries of South Caucasus, the civilizational differences explored in the self-perception of the societies of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, the existing between them cultural distances, the scale of the traditionalism and the communication abilities with the foreign societies.

The report was followed by active discussion.
