CATHOLIC ARMENIAN COMMUNITIES IN HUNGARY AND TRANSYLVANIA

On May 27 the workshop on “Catholic Armenian Communities in Hungary and Transylvania” was held at “Noravank” Foundation.

The event featured the specialist in Armenian studies at the University of Budapest, the Hungarian scholar Zsigmond Benedek. He presented the contemporary problems of the Catholic Armenian community in Hungary and Transylvania. The speaker particularly told about the historical development of the communities, the main spiritual and clerical, educational issues, the role of the Armenians in the political and social life of Hungary.

The lecture was followed by the discussion.
