On the problems of Armenia’s energy security

On October 20, 2006 a seminar devoted to Armenia’s energy security was held in “Noravank” Foundation. The main reporter, the first deputy General director and the chief engineer of “Armosgasprom” Ashot Hovsepyan, raise the question of constructing Iran-Armenia gas pipeline. The reporter also touched upon separate issues concerning to the program’s financing, the possible terms of fulfilling work as well as the perspective spheres of consuming the Iranian gas. In the talk a special attention was paid to the issue of underground gas depositories in the territory of Armenia.
