ISSUES OF INFORMATION SECURITY Autumn school, fifth lesson
On November 19 the fifth lesson of “Issues of Information Security” autumn school took place.
The presentation was made the vice-president of the Armenian Public Relations Association (APRA) Arman Saghatelyan.
In his “Information confrontation in military sphere” report A.Saghatelyan presented two organizational models of information confrontation apparats: western (it is characteristic of the US, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Turkey and etc.) and eastern (which is characteristic of the RF, India, Iraq, Syria, North Korea). The reporter presented the peculiarities of each of those models, scope of the actions carried out by the main tactical units and their subdivisions in detail. It was also spoken about the main goals and problems the information and psychological actions.
During his report which subject was “Destructive sects in the context of information and psychological security” the reporter touched upon the activity of the destructive sects, presented the description of the methods of influence used by these organizations, individuals or people (the forming of mental and physical dependence, information control), as well as the damage caused to the individual and society in general.
The reports were followed by the active discussion.
