MEETING AT THE NORAVANK FOUNDATION

A seminar-discussion on studying the experience of relations between the army and society of Israel was organized at the Noravank Foundation on September 20, 2018. Guests from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, high-ranking military officers and experts attended the event.

Keynote was delivered by Karen Veranyan, Senior Expert, Head of the Centre for Political Studies, Noravank Foundation. He presented the conceptual provisions of the army-society relations in Israel, opportunities for the state and diaspora to participate in them and the Israeli experience of relations between the army and society in terms of useful insights for the Republic of Armenia Armed Forces.

An active discussion followed during which the participants drew parallels between Armenian and Israeli military and addressed pressing matters.

A publication of a book based on this study is planned for the future.
