THE FIRST REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA AND THE HISTORICAL MEMORY

A round table discussion on The First Republic of Armenia and the Historical Memory was organized at the Noravank Foundation on June 15, 2018. The event was attended by the Foundation’s experts, as well as leading Armenian specialists.

Thoughts were exchanged with regard to the May 1918 heroic battles and ensuing establishment of the first Republic of Armenia, its domestic and foreign policies, socioeconomic life, inter-ethnic relations and other matters. Comparisons were made and parallels drawn with the Third Republic.
