THE BALTIC COUNTRIES TODAY: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

A conference titled The Baltic Countries Today: Challenges and Opportunities took place at the Noravank Foundation on April 15, 2015. Keynotes were delivered by Aleksandr Nosovich (Russia) and Einārs Graudiņš (Latvia).

The speakers presented the situation in the Baltic countries after joining the EU, with consideration of the matter from economic, political, cultural, security, demographic and social perspectives. According to the speakers, although there are some positive developments in the mentioned areas of the Baltic countries, they are far from being exemplary, as it is often portrayed.

The presentations were followed by discussions.
