PRESS RELEASE ON THE SIGNING OF RUSSIAN-SWISS DOCUMENTS

On May 18, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Federal Council of the Swiss Confederation signed an agreement regarding the implementation of a Russian-Georgian agreement on the basic principles for a mechanism of customs administration and monitoring of trade in goods, which was signed on November 9, 2011 as regards the establishment of a trust fund. Also, an agreement was signed between the Russian Government and the Swiss company SGS Societe Generale de Surveillance SA.
Head of the Federal Customs Service Vladimir Bulavin signed both documents on behalf of Russia.
By doing this, Russia has completed the procedure necessary for launching the implementation of the November 9, 2011 agreement on the basic principles for a mechanism of customs administration and monitoring of trade in goods with Georgia.
