THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNION OF THE ARMENIAN EVANGELICAL CHURCHES IN THE NEAR EAST HONORS THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARMENIAN EVANGELICAL COMMUNITY IN SYRIA, REV. HAROUTUNE SELIMIAN

On January 12th, 2018 during the UAECNE President- Rev. Mgrditch Karageozian’s visit to the city of Aleppo, the President and the Central Committee members of UAECNE held a special meeting of fellowship and discussion with the various committee members of the various Armenian and Syriac Evangelical Churches and institutions in Aleppo.

At the end of the meeting, which was held in Aleppo for the first time in six years, Rev. Mgrditch Karageozian, on behalf of the UAECNE and its Central Committee, congratulated Rev. Haroutune Selimian, the president of the Armenian Protestant Community in Syria, for his devoted endeavors and countless achievements, especially in the ecclesial, public, and social spheres, as well as for his selfless services rendered to the Armenian Community in Syria, and on this occasion, he honored Rev. Selimian with a golden cross.

President Selimian thankfully accepted the gift and expressed his gratitude to God and appreciation to the leadership of UAECNE for this exceptional act of love and appreciation.
