THINK TANKS IN CIS COUNTRIES AND GEORGIA
The report titled “Think Tanks in CIS Countries and Georgia: Structure, Objectives and Main Development Trends” was included in the Issue 1 for 2016 of the National Strategy Issues scientific journal published by Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS).
The report assesses the potential of analytical communities the post-Soviet countries, presents the development course, peculiarities, funding sources, legal status and impact on decision-making processes of some think tanks in CIS.
Think tanks of 10 CIS countries and Georgia are studied in the work. The Russian think tanks are not presented in the report, because in the authors’ opinion they should be subject to a separate study.
The section about Armenian think tanks reviews among others the Noravank Foundation and its partners: Amberd Research Center of the Armenian State University of Economics and Integration and Development NGO.
