CERTAIN ISSUES OF INFLUENCING ON THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL BY INFORMATION METHODS

Armen Ghalechyan

Resume

The newest information mechanisms and media tricks have an important influence upon the consciousness of Armed Forces personnel; particularly, their perceptions, analytical abilities, and actions.
The article touches upon modern issues of application of the ‘information tricks’ and their regulation mechanisms. Particularly, it is suggested to carry out deep and specialized research into the issues of application of the “information tricks”. Hrayr Pashayan, Liana Balayan

Resume

To face the challenges posed by Turkey and Azerbaijan in the context of geopolitical developments it is crucial to make sure the science and state security, science and foreign policy, science and economy are mutually connected with each other, along with effective governance.

TURKISH RELIGIOUS INFLUENCE ON THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN

Gayane Chobanyan

Resume

Since gaining its independence Azerbaijan has become an arena of conflict of interests for various geopolitical powers. The Islamic factor served those powers as one of the tools for establishing political influence. Various Islamic organizations from the countries of the Middle East, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Northern Caucasus and Turkey started their activities in Azerbaijan. Despite the fact that the majority of Azerbaijan’s population were followers of Shia branch of Islam, the “Islamic model” of secular Turkey was considered the most appropriate and was not perceived as a political threat. Turkey’s official and non-official Islamic organizations, supported by the Azerbaijani authorities, put down rather deep roots in religious, educational and economic areas. However, in parallel to the threat of spreading extremist Islamic directions, the activities of religious organizations, including the Turkish ones, was restricted and placed under strict government control.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXPORTING ELECTRICITY FROM THE RA

Ashot Markosyan, Elyanora Matevosyan

Resume

The amount of GDP of any country is directly affected by the value of its net exports (which is the difference between the volumes of exports and imports). Thus, if the net exports value for a country is negative, then exactly this amount decreases the country’s GDP, and vice versa, with a positive net export, GDP also increases by the same amount. It then follows that the main goal of foreign economic activity of the country should be the excess of exports in relation to imports. This issue is most acute for the Republic of Armenia, since the analysis of statistical data on foreign economic activity for 1995-2016 indicate that the value of net exports remained negative throughout the entire period under study, although the problem of increasing exports was constantly in the attention focus of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
Based on the results of a comparative analysis of electricity production and exports in the Republic of Armenia, the authors show that an increase in electricity exports can become one of the main ways to increase exports from the country, which in turn will significantly reduce the negative value of net exports and improve the situation in the area of foreign trade.

Vahram Hovyan

The political potential of the Armenian community of the USA can be divided in two parts according to the level of organization: institutional and individual. ARMENIAN DIASPORA IN EUROPE AND THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Vladimir Hakobyan

Resume

Just like in all other Armenian communities, Armenians who live in Europe and Russia, also face the challenge of assimilation. Especially in case of Russia, the danger of assimilation is much higher due to the command of the Russian language by Armenians, as a result of which Armenians quickly adopt the local lifestyle and local values, distancing themselves from their national identity. Armenians, living in Europe and Russia have an objective to maintain their national identity. Many national institutions, organizations within communities, mass media, as well as Armenian press, which has a rich history both in Russia and Europe, foster the achievement of this objective. After all, it is the mass media that can accustom the Armenians, who are attracted by foreign environment, to the national values. From this point of view, it is
of an utmost significance to conduct thorough research and analysis of the Armenian press in Europe and Russia, especially since the main task of these media is to preserve the national identity of Armenians residing in these countries.

THE WORLD WAR I, IRAN AND THE TURKISH AMBITIONS IN ATROPATENE

Derenik Melikyan

Resume

The article elaborates on Iran’s policy of neutrality during the WWI. Although Ahmad shah declared neutrality, due to the weakness of the central government it was not secured. The north, south, east and west of the country became theaters of military actions between belligerent armies, especially with Atropatene being the focal war area. As a result, during the four years of war Iran sustained tremendous losses and damages.
