The 2nd issue of “Globus” analytical bulletin for 2017 has been published. This is a special issue dedicated to the experience of the Israeli military.
The author, Karen Veranyan, addresses the role of military among Jewry, conduct of the Israeli soldier, role of women and clerics in the army of Israel, problem of the Israeli prisoners of war, programs of support to Israeli military, issues of patriotism and war ethics.
The author presents the saga of Masada from the perspective of Jewish people’s nation-building, as well as makes references to other international experiences with shaping the spiritual and moral value system of military.
