The book explores official demographic statistics of Azerbaijan. A comparative analysis of the statistics is carried out – it is compared with the statistics of some international and authoritative sources. It is exposed that official Azerbaijani sources consistently distort the picture of migration flows, birth and death statistics, thus artificially increasing the population of Azerbaijan by 2.0-2.2 million people. Since 1996-97 official Baku misrepresents population growth rate and gender population composition. Staying true to the “traditions” official Baku continues garbling consistently statistics on ethnic composition of the population. It is shown that distorted statistics of official Baku is weirdly legitimized and disseminated by a number of international organizations.
