“EURASIAN INTEGRATION AND ARMENIA: PROSPECTS, GOALS, TRENDS OF DISCUSSIONS”
On January 26 conference on “Eurasian Integration and Armenia: Prospects, Goals, Trends of Discussions”, organized by “Integration and Development” Research and Analytical NGO, was hold in Yerevan.
The welcoming address was delivered by the ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation V.E.Kovalenko, Republic of Kazakhstan A.E.Bozzhigitov, and Republic of Belarus S.N.Sukharenko.
Politicians, political scientists, experts and analytics from Armenia, Russia and Kazakhstan participated in the conference. The participants considered the widest spectrum of arguments “for” and “against” inclusion of Armenia in the process of the Eurasian integration.
The reports were devoted to the geopolitical significance of the process of the Eurasian integration, influence of civilizational factors and threats of information counteractions by its opponents, problems and prospects of cooperation in social-economic and military-political spheres.
According to the head of the “Integration and Development” Research and Analytical NGO Aram Safaryan in the next 5-6 months a number of public discussion, debates, public and academic expertise of the issues connected with the Eurasian integration and deeper integration of Armenia into this process will be held.
